Playing a mute girl was tough for Kareena Kapoor
The spirited and sassy Kareena Kapoor, known to play fiery characters in most of her films, has now donned the role of a simple, mute girl in her forthcoming film ‘Chup Chup Ke’. Kareena says that she has enjoyed playing this character for two reasons.
“It was a challenge to play this role because I had to emote purely through sign language and expressions. Also, for the first time in my professional life I didn’t have to go for dubbing,” chuckles the star, who has come a long way from her ‘Poo’ days.
Currently enjoying herself at the ‘Rock Stars’ concert that has been travelling to several countries, the actor is excited about returning home for the release of ‘Chup Chup Ke’. Besides, there’s another celebration in store for her – the success of her first hit film with beau Shahid Kapur ’36 China Town.’
