Diana Hayden met Shane Warne
“He has a glad eye. He so obviously loves women,” says Diana Hayden of Shane Warne, while admitting she was well aware of the reputation that precedes the controversial Australian cricketer.
The former beauty queen met Shane in Barcelona where she had gone to anchor the Laureus World Sports Awards, but says nothing conspired between the two of them. “Instead, we debated why all cricketers play golf in their free time. Shane said that they do so because playing cricket all the time can be stressful so they play golf to give themselves a break. Imagine, taking a break from one game to play another! That’s life,” she says.
Calling him a “gentleman”, Diana said she had met Shane Warne on an earlier occasion as well and was thrilled to find that he still remembered her. “But like I told you, he loves women, so wouldn’t forget them,” she says amidst giggles.
