After Katrina Kaif cleared the air about her so-called impending marriage with Salman Khan, here comes a shocker. Sallu was seen at an award function sans sweetheart Katrina. He walked in with another ‘mysterious’ pretty young thing who stuck to him all evening. Katrina made a solo entry much later. Says an onlooker, “We were quite confused when Salman arrived with some other girl. He also posed for the shutterbugs and was with her all evening.”

Salman and Katrina kept their distance and hardly exchanged greetings throughout the evening. Says a source, “It was quite strange to see Katrina and Salman not sitting together. Salman and this girl were cracking up all the time. It’s quite obvious that the duo were having a good time.”

Even as Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar spend time watching soccer matches in between shooting for Jaan-e-man, Salman Khan it seems, is busy spending quality time with Katrina Kaif. Officially, neither of the two have acknowledged the relationship. However, going by the look of it, their relationship is growing stronger by the day. Sporting a blue tee, Salman the other day, was seen chatting up Katrina outside his vanity van. One of the unit members informed us, “Madam toh aati rehti hai (Madam keeps coming by).”

After he broke off with Aishwarya Rai, Khan has been single. However, his fondness for Kaif cannot be ignored. During the Mumbai Fashion Week, he came along to watch the model-turned-actress walk the ramp. The unit member continues, “He is very fond of Katrina. He is also extremely protective about her. Kaif looked cheerful as she waited for the Khan who was posing with his fans for photographs.”

A little while later, as the twosome settled down for a cup of chai. Khan seemed to be discussing some serious matter with her. The actress has repeatedly denied reports that Salman recommends her name to filmmakers. However, it is quite evident that the movies she has worked in have been made by some of Khan’s closest friends. Kaif too, seems to have a soft spot for Khan. “Katrina is extremely caring and she makes it a point to call Salman everyday. She stood by him during the Jodhpur trial.”

Incidentally, Salman is not the only one Kaif has bonded with. She was also seen sharing jokes and having a nice time with Preity Zinta… that is, when she wasn’t doing all of that with Salman.

After John Abraham apologised to his fans on a radio station in London for the last minute cancellation of the ‘Rock Star’ concert there, Salman Khan now seems to have followed suit. On his personal website salmankhan.net, the star has extended his ‘heartfelt and sincere’ apology to his fans for the same.

On Sunday night, the London show of this star-studded event was called off at the nth hour due to some money problem between the local and international promoters. All the stars of the show were present at the arena, ready to perform, when the organisers made a decision to cancel it.

Sallubhai has requested all those who bought tickets to get their money refunded and has clarified that the ‘Rock Star’ concert has not yet been scheduled for a later date as rumoured.

As for whether Bollywood stage shows are losing their international appeal, the website explains that it all depends on the event and its stars. When the New York promoters held a promotional event with Salman to meet fans, they were shocked (and the security completely overwhelmed) when over 10,000 people turned up. In fact, tickets for the Big Apple show shot through the roof only once people were sure Salman would be performing, leaving no doubts as to who the real rock star is!

When Salman Khan sets his mind on something, there is no changing it. This time, he has insisted that he will work with his current favourite choreographers Bosco-Caeser for all his concerts. After accompanying him on the Rockstars concerts, Salman has now insisted on the duo directing him for the IIFA in Dubai where he is expected to perform tomorrow.

He leaves with them tonight. Evidently Salman doesn’t mind being isolated from his other colleagues whose performance is being choreographed by Shiamak Davar. Apparently, since Salman had no time to rehearse (he returned from the Rockstars concerts on Tuesday) he needed choreographers who understood his body language well. Meanwhile, rehearsals for the main event were on in full-swing. The show’s brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan arrived yesterday with daughter Shweta, while wife Jaya and son Abhishek are expected to arrive today.

Salman Khan nearly triggered mass hysteria when he popped in at a juice centre in London. A massive crowd clogged aside of the street, all of them hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. Cops kept a close watch as hordes of girls armed with cameras tried to get close to the star. Salman managed to escape in a large car even as the crowd tried to bang on the windows. However, due to poor attendance, the stage show to be held in London, which Salman was going to perform in, was cancelled.

Salman Khan may like to be called ‘good old Abdul Sattar Salim Salman Khan’, and not a ‘rockstar’, but the fact remains that Sallu is the true rockstar and will remain so, thanks to his growing popularity. This was once again proved during the world tour that has the star performing around the globe. That’s because when Salman makes an entry, the stage sizzles! No wonder, the actor is enjoying every bit of it, but he is apparently homesick and is constantly in touch with his family, especially mom Salma and dad Salim. Besides the family, some good news for the handsome hunk awaits in India. If it can be recalled, the actor endorses a shoe and an undergarment brand, and now it has been learnt that the companies have renewed their contracts with him. Salman may have been out of the bandwagon of big stars endorsing a number of products, thanks to the constant controversies he lands up in, but now, apparently, a few ad companies are warming up to the star and may sign him up to be their brand ambassador. And if everything falls in place, Sallu will be seen in… well we can’t spell it out. Watch this space for more.
