If you’re wondering where Dhoom and Phir Hera Pheri actress Rimi Sen has disappeared, here’s the news. The actress has now decided to take a break after all those hectic schedules -but that doesn’t mean she’s taking a break from work. No way. The lady has now decided to do some very unusual films and work with some hatke directors, and leading the pack on her list is Johnny Gaddaar which will be directed by Sriram Raghavan and Shagird directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Now will that change Rimi’s sexy image? Your guess is as good as ours. But knowing the hot actress, she’ll come off with flying colours.

You might think she’s a petite, pretty thing, but looks can be deceiving. And with so many shades of pancake on almost everything behind that is; ask our Bollywood beauties! We have one such, Rimi Sen, who rarely displays those typical girlie traits like other PYTs. In fact, the Bong bombshell doesn’t even flaunt a boyfriend; at least we haven’t got a whiff of any brewing romance in her life. What really turns on this gal are hot wheels. Yeah, while most filmis would prefer a classy Mercedes, apparently Rimi has gone ahead and bought a sporty BMW. And that’s not all. She doesn’t like being driven; she loves to have the wheel in her control. And in turn drive the boys crazy. So all you guys dying to ‘take her for a ride’, can take a walk, instead. Rimi’s vroomed off already…

What is your role in ‘Hattrick’?

I play a simple character who is suffering from a loveless marriage because her husband (Kunal Kapoor) is always watching cricket. To win his affection, she also joins him in his passion and guess what? She falls in love with cricketer Dhoni. That’s when the fun begins.

Do you like Dhoni in real life too?

Oh no, I love Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. They make India proud.

Are you a cricket buff?

Not really, I don’t follow the game. But I will be watching the World Cup because it happens once in four years and has a lot of hype around it.

What was most enjoyable about ‘Hattrcik’?

I enjoyed doing the video ‘Wicket Bachao’ where the entire cast-Danny Denzongappa, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Kunal Kapoor, Harsha Bhogale was present. It was good fun catching up with them because we didn’t have many scenes together in the film. Danny, Nana sir and Paresh despite being our seniors were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Comedy seems to be your forte

Oh, I love doing comedies. And I would never ever do a film which does not have a good director. I was keen on doing ‘Hattrick’ because I had seen Milan Luthria’s ‘Deewar’. In fact, after seeing the film, I called him up and told him that I wanted to work with him. It was only after a year that he called me. On hearing the narration, I jumped at the role.

What made you accept such a small role in ‘Dhoom 2’?

I will not do any more guest appearances in future because they are such a waste of time. I did ‘Dhoom 2’ only for Yash Raj as also the fact that I was a part of ‘Dhoom 1’. I would rather concentrate on full-fledged roles like in my forthcoming films ‘Betaabi’ with Ritesh Deshmukh and ‘Johny Devdas’ with singer Nitin Mukesh’s son Neel Mukesh.

Rimi Sen is angry with reports that she flirted with singer Shaan at a carnival in London, where the two were invitees. The buzz doing the rounds was that Rimi walked over to Shaan’s table, where the singer was having dinner with his wife Radhika and chatted with him in Bengali. She is said to have murmured something in his ear and ruffled his hair, causing Shaan’s wife Radhika to storm out of the venue. “I don’t even know where these stories come from,” reacts Rimi. “I have met Shaan hardly twice in my life and don’t know him at all.” But didn’t Shaan’s wife walk out from the venue? “I did walk over to their table, but I didn’t even notice his wife. I greeted Shaan and moved on. I really don’t know who’s concocted these stories. People often mistake my friendliness for something else. But really, nothing happened,” she insists.

But has she spoken with Shaan after the incident? “No, I haven’t called him up, I don’t even know his ata-pata and I don’t think I’m answerable to anybody. The whole thing’s blown out of proportion.” As an afterthought she adds, “I’m very tomboyish and behave like a guy when I’m among guys.”

Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty may have fought post the success of ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ over Kumar’s alleged domination in the film, but they at least seemed pleased with its success. But if there’s one member from the unit who’s moaning rather than being happy, it is Rimi Sen.

“I don’t want to talk about the film at all. It’s in the past now,” she says, shrugging off any further queries on ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. The buzz is that she’s unhappy with the kind of treatment she got from the Nadiadwala banner this time round. Also, she’s enmeshed in the turmoil between filmmaker Priyadarshan, who casts her in most of his movies and the ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ director/scriptwriter Neeraj Vora. Reportedly, the two filmmakers have a cold war going on.

Says Sen, “I have only done two films with Nadiadwala. How can there be a problem?” While Sen might be in denial mode, the fact is that she isn’t doing any Nadiadwala film after ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. “I am taking a break. I have no new films right now – except ‘Golmaal’, which is complete and has shaped up really well,” she says.

Like their Hollywood counterparts Bollywood stars too have become fitness and diet control freaks, and one such actor who is high on the fitness regime is Bong bombshell Rimii. “I can’t miss my workouts for anything, even if it’s late in the night, I hit the gym religiously. My resolution is to work out at least six days a week and to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” says Rimii. Now we know the secret behind her oomph and those sexy curves. No wonder Rimii is being noticed like never before!
