Fardeen Khan will be seen as a dulha again on screen his forthcoming film Dulha Mil Gaya starring him, Sushmita Sen and Shah Rukh Khan. It is not the first time that Fardeen is playing dulha. He has played a married man in films like Shaadi no 1 and most recently in Just Married and will again play husband to Ishaa Koppikar in Darling. Last time he turned dulha, it didn’t prove to be lucky for him. So will it work this time around remains to be seen. Looks like marriage definitely suits Fardeen.

If the posters of Darling are anything to go by, you’ll see that Fardeen Khan is being walked over by girls, literally speaking of course. So when we met up with the actor recently, he told us, laughing, “Yeah! You could say that girls are walking all over me in this film! But when those girls are as pretty as Esha Deol and Ishaa Koppikar, hell I’m gonna mind.”

Wonder what the two ’sha’s have to say to this. They’ll probably stomp all over him all over again!

After all that tittle-tattle about the dashing actor Fardeen Khan putting on the extra kilos inch by inch over the last few months, we think the change will finally be happening. His buddies claim that Fardeen has taken on the challenge to lose weight with a vengeance. Other than his regular workout, Fardeen is following a strict diet, and nothing can stop him from skipping that. Of course, we can’t blame the lad entirely for the ‘weighty issue’, sometimes too much of TLC (tender, love and care) does that to you. We hope his lovely wife Natashaa is listening, too!

After Saif Ali Khan spurned the offer to do Feroz Khan’s remake of Qurbani, the latter was on the lookout for a suitable replacement for a salable actor to replay the part immortalised by Vinod Khanna. And guess whom his eyes finally landed on? None other than his nephew Zayed Khan. The buzz is that Zayed Khan has been sounded for the role. Must say, it will be an interesting affair to watch what the combined force of Chacha Bhatija cooks up. Now, how about getting more star power by roping in son-in-law Hrithik?

As in life, friendships matter in the industry too. Ask Fardeen Khan. If sources are to be believed, Suparn Verma’s next film might just be produced by Fardeen, who’s good friends with the former.

In fact, Suparn made his directorial debut with the Fardeen starrer ‘Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina’. A source points out that Fardeen was really impressed by Suparn and so he offered to produce his next film. “This film might be independently produced by Fardeen. If it doesn’t happen that way, then it will be presented by FK International, Fardeen’s home banner,” says the source. Suparn, it can be recalled, had last year briefly spoken about his next script, an action-based one. He confirmed then that he could never dream of making a film without Fardeen. When contacted, Suparn, who has just returned from Delhi, said, “I am still working on my script. Let me finish writing it and then I will announce everything.”

While the court has rejected Fardeen Khan’s plea to amend charges in his cocaine case, his legal options still seem far from over.While the actor himself returned to Mumbai from Uganda late last night and was unavailable for comment, his lawyer Ayaz Khan pointed out that it was too early to lose hope. “Whether we’ll move the High Court is a decision we’ll take after we get the court order. At the moment we have no definite idea when the trial will begin, but it could take a couple of months,” Ayaz said. Fardeen’s father refused to speak (”I am not going to answer these questions. I would appreciate if you would not ask me these questions because a whole lot of baloney comes out later,” said Feroz Khan), but the producers and directors of his forthcoming films don’t seem too perturbed. “I don’t see any problem. Everybody knows that he was caught with one gram of cocaine. The court has not specified this and that’s why he had appealed for the amendment. Eventually, it will all be sorted out. In his case, it is either six months imprisonment or a Rs 20,000 fine,” said director Ananth Mahedevan. Filmmaker Ramesh Taurani said that though he hadn’t discussed the development with the actor yet, he was clear that the film would always take second priority when it came to Fardeen’s personal well-being. “I am sure his lawyer and he will do what is required. The case affecting my film isn’t such a concern. The important thing is his own life and safety. My film is a small thing compared to that,” he said.
