There are certain things in life that will remain special forever. Ask Amisha Patel, and she’ll tell you that Hrithik Roshan is one of the special people in her life. That’s because Amisha and Hrithik made their debut together in Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Recently Hrithik organised a special screening of Krrish, and Amisha, who was one of the guests, got very emotional after seeing the film. “I became very sentimental after the screening because it reminded me of my Kaho Na… days. I think he is one of the greatest actors we have today and he will always remain special, because he was my first co-star,” says Amisha. Apparently, after the screening, some industrywallahs discussed that the comeback of Amisha and Hrithik may once again create the magic of Kaho Na… How about Kaho Na… Part 2, we wonder?

Amisha Patel’s real-life story makes quite a moving tale - her family feud, the estrangement, her link-up with director Vikram Bhatt and more. But full credit to the petite Patel girl for being as tough as nails when it matters the most. And though she may not admit it openly, people close to the actor insist that Vikram has been her pillar of strength through the crisis. Many even credit him with her all-new way of looking at life now. Amisha says, “Insecurity, possessiveness, jealousy, are all a part of the man-woman relationship. It comes from the fact that a man can cheat on a woman at anytime, and a woman can cheat on a man at any point. There are no guarantees in life, after all.”

Amisha Patel will celebrate her birthday in Rome this year, in the company of close friends. “I want to feel like Cleopatra and enjoy a Roman Holiday,” said Amisha before leaving. Although she has been to Italy before, this will be her first time in Rome. “I have been to Venice and other parts of Italy, but I want to see all the historical places associated with Julius Caesar, Anthony and Cleopatra, in Rome,” she said. Incidentally, boyfriend Vikram Bhatt will not be accompanying her. “I don’t know whether he will join us later or not. It’s my birthday, so I should think positive and expect a surprise visit, right,” she said.

Usually Amisha tries to be in Mumbai for her birthday, but this year she made an exception. “Most of the time I am either shooting or dubbing for my films on my birthday. This year I have completed most of my work and can pamper myself with a 12-day vacation. I am planning to visit the Morano Island and the world-famous churches and cathedrals,” she said. Amisha’s other favourite haunt in Italy is Milan. But this time her love for shopping has been overcome by her desire to sightsee. “It’s more about sightseeing and enjoying the place. This year, I have done a lot of shopping already,” she laughed.

However, the actress did not take off before seeking the customary blessings from her grandmother. And if there are any signs of feeling older, Amisha surely doesn’t show them. She said, “I feel as young as I did when I was 16. I refuse to grow up mentally as it’s fun to be young and think young.” Clearly she does not expect gifts from anyone. “God has given me everything I want,” she said. “I would love to get flowers, though,” she added.

The pretty payals Amisha Patel wears around her ankles has caught the fancy of many, and while she keeps experimenting with her wardrobe, hair-dos and make-up, the chum chum in her life remains constant. “I love my payals. Actually I love the sound. I don’t think people know that I am a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. I’ve been dancing since I was five years old. I’ve even done my Arangetram, which is a first formal public performance a dancer does. Even when I am sitting, I am constantly tapping my feet; I am always in rhythm,” says Amisha. Well, maybe some filmmaker should ‘tap’ her dancing talent.

This actress loves to experiment with her looks. However, she has just one weakness. “I have never had any qualms experimenting with eye colour, clothes, haircolour, glamourous make-up, no make up — all of that. But I have a weakness for long hair, and I don’t like the idea of chopping it off,” says Ameesha. But what if there was one helluva challenging role for which she’d have to chop off those lovely locks? We think there’s a hair-line chance she’d let the offer go. What say, lady?
