Amitabh Bachchan influences Amrit Sagar
Trends are slowly and steadily changing in Bollywood these days. And filmmakers and actors are gearing up to face the challenge by doing more research. Recently Amitabh Bachchan was heard saying in an interview that he did extensive research for Black and now he is doing the same thing for Rituparno Ghosh’s film. And the man to get inspired by Amitabh’s research is Amrit Sagar who had hired several historians and researchers to do background work on his debut film 1971 Prisoners of War, and he feels vindicated with the end result. “When I hired a team of researchers everyone around me thought I was going to extremes to direct my first film, but I was very confident that without research it wouldn’t look like a real drama. When a brilliant actor like Amitabh Bachchan says that certain roles require research, then I know I’m not wrong,†says Sagar. Looks like this young filmmaker is set to go places!

I would love for Amitabh to play Shirdi Sai Baba to accentuate his illustrious acting career. If only somehow this can be communicated to him.
